Temporary Road Closure and Revocation of One Way Order 2020
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and after communicating with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984, hereby makes the following Order: -This Order will come into operation on the 11* day of February 2020 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Road Closure and a Revocation of a One Way in the road specified in the Schedules to this Order. The restrictions will apply when indicated by traffic signs.
The pole installation and tree cutting works are expected to start on the 17th day of February 2020 for a period of 2 days (08:00 hours to 17:00 hours).

Schedule 1 Temporary Road Closure Friarn Street, Bridgwater - From its junction with St Mary Street, south-westwards for 80 metres
Schedule 2 Revocation of One Way Friam Street, Bridgwater - From 40 metres northwestwards from its junction with Broadway, eastwards for 200 metres Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
