Somerset County Council Friarn Street, Bridgwater Temporary Road Closure and Revocation of One Way Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that on Friday 7th day of February 2020 Somerset County Council made the above order in exercise of its powers in the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 28* January 2020 to introduce a Temporary Road Closure and Revocation of One Way in the road specified in the Schedules to this Order. The Order comes into effect on the 11th day of February 2020 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The restrictions will apply when indicated by traffic signs. A copy of the draft Traffic Regulation Order and the associated plans can be examined at

Schedule 1 Temporary Road Closure Friarn Street, Bridgwater - From its junction with St Mary Street, south-westwards for 80 metres

Schedule 2 Revocation of One Way Friarn Street, Bridgwater - From 40 metres north­westwards from its junction with Broadway, eastwards for 200 metres Statement of reasons for making the Order

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or



b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
