SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL A39 DUNBALL INTERCHANGE. RIVERTON ROAD AND DOWNEND ROAD IN THE PARISH OF PURITON (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2017 Notice is hereby given that on Friday 22nd day of September 2017 Somerset County Council made the above order in pursuance of the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), as previously advertised on the 12th September 2017, to (i) introducing a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the A39 Dunball Interchange as specified in Schedule 1 (ii) prohibit vehicles from travelling in Eastbound direction on the A39 Dunball Interchange as specified in Schedule 2 (iii) prohibit vehicles from travelling in Westbound direction on the A39 Dunball Interchange as specified in Schedule 3 (iv) prohibit of entry for any vehicle turning right entering the road specified Schedule 4 (v) prohibit of entry for any vehicle entering the road specified in Schedule 5 (vi) prohibit foot passengers proceeding along the footway specified in Schedule 6 (vii) prohibit any vehicle making use of the layby specified in Schedule 7.
The Order will be made to facilitate highway works and is necessary for the safety of the workforce whilst carrying out their duties. The restrictions may not be effected for the whole period but it is anticipated that the road will be restricted as and when indicated by traffic signs. The works are expected to start on the 2nd day of October 2017.
