CATSFORD & WALL COMMON APPLICATION FOR CONSENT TO CARRY OUT WORKS ON COMMON LAND
The Environment Agency has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Catsford & Wall Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
The proposed works involve strengthening of the rear earth embankment by raising the crest level and reinforcing (using concrete clockwork) the front face of the existing earth embankment. This work is covered in an existing application advertised on 13* February 2018 (Planning Inspectorate Reference: 3193619).
This application covers temporary fencing surrounding the proposed site compound off Gorpit Lane.
The fencing encloses 1,250m2 of site compound and the fencing length will be 170m.
The works will be located at Catsford & Wall Common, Stolford, Bridgwater, Somerset
