The Tide is High

A talk by the Port of Bridgwater's harbour master is scheduled to take place next week.

Titled 'The Tide is High', the session is presented by Captain Jessica Tyson at the Blake Museum.

Hosted by the Friends of Blake Museum, the lecture promises insights into maritime life, local history, and regional waterways.

Capt Tyson manages the Bridgwater Port, spanning Bridgwater Bay along the River Parrett, and includes tidal waterways like the Rivers Brue and Axe.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, from 7pm to 9pm.

Tickets for non-members are £3, while members can attend for £2.

90s Weekend

A tribute to 90s pop culture is coming to Brean next weekend.

The three-day event at The Beachcomber will run from Friday, June 12, to Sunday, June 14, with free entry for all.

Performances will include an Ultra 90s show and sets by Yell, along with tributes to the Spice Girls and Robbie Williams.

Fancy dress is encouraged, and the line-up also features Mario's Tribute to Britpop, bingo each evening, and Captain Crumble, the latter of which is The Beachcomber's resident children's entertainer.
