Living History Day

A Living History Day is bringing combat displays and re-enactments to Bridgwater.

From 10am until 4pm on Saturday, August 22, in Blake Gardens, people will be able to immerse themselves in historical action.

At the event, there will be full combat displays from The Somerset Barons, re-enactments from The Ermine Street Guard, and musket firing from History Workshops.

Living history displays from The Sutton Household will also feature.

Attendees can try axe throwing, archery, and interactive sword fighting.

The day will conclude with a game session led by The Somerset Barons.

The interactive sword fighting sessions and archery will require additional fees, with more information available via bridgwaterhereandnow.com/event/living-history-day-2.

Gentle Yoga

Weekly yoga classes to improve mobility, balance, and nervous system well-being are running at a village near Highbridge.

The sessions, suitable for in-person or online attendance, are designed for individuals seeking to enhance their ease of movement, awareness, and self-care.

The classes, led by Morven, founder of Yoga by Nature, offer a slower, more mindful approach to yoga, supporting the nervous system's well-being.

Sessions at The Phoenix Studio, on Bristol Road in Edithmead, run every Monday from 6pm to 7pm.

The next session is scheduled for Monday, August 24.

All interested parties are encouraged to join for an opportunity to unwind and connect with others.
