Who ya gonna call? Well if it’s the cast of the all-female Ghostbusters remake you’re after – why not try Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig.
Director Paul Feig, who worked with the pair in the hit film Bridesmaids, has already announced he is making the film, which he said would “star hilarious women”, and he hinted at his preferred cast on Twitter by posting pictures of four actresses.
His tweet showed Melissa and Kristen with Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, sparking speculation they would take on the roles made famous by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson.
The original 1984 film was a huge hit and spawned a follow-up and spin-offs including a computer game and a cartoon series.
Its theme tune was a number two hit for Ray Parker Jr in the year the film was released.
Ramis, who played the nerdy Dr Egon Spengler and wrote the hit film with co-star Aykroyd, died last year.
