Celebrity couples seem to break up all the time right? So we should be used to the heartbreak by now.
Except the latest reports on David Walliams and Lara Stone apparently splitting might be too much for our fragile hearts to bear.
No doubt we’ll get over it, though – after all, we got over these.
1. Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt
Widespread devastation ensued when Brad and Jen split up 10 years ago. We were in denial that Angelina Jolie had taken her place at first but we’ve gradually come to accept what’s happened. Just about.
2. Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe
Oh weren’t they cute?! The American sweethearts starred together in Cruel Intentions and married shortly after the film was released in 1999. Sadly they divorced in 2007 after having two kids. We’re still upset that didn’t work out.
3. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore
It was a beautiful love story – age was irrelevant. They were so sure it was going to work they didn’t sign prenups and were embroiled in a pretty complicated divorce battle over how much money Ashton owed Demi, even though she was reportedly worth $150 million (£98 million).
4. Heidi Klum and Seal
Oh come on, who didn’t think this was forever!? The singer and supermodel had four kids together and were always super cute together on the red carpet.
5. Katy Perry and Russell Brand
Devastation is probably too strong a world for these two, but a bad boy sex addict falling head over heels for a squeaky clean US pop star was like a modern fairytale. No?
6. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
Oh Kristen, WHY?! Was there anything more perfect than Bella Swan and Edward Cullen falling in love for real? Then Kristen was pictured with married director Rupert Sanders and broke Robert’s heart.
7. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony
After two divorces and a broken engagement to Ben Affleck, we all thought J-Lo had finally struck lucky with life long friend Marc. Alas, after a seven-year marriage and two kids, the pair split.
8. Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton
Hollywood’s most eccentric couple, Helena and Tim seemed to laugh in the face of tradition and lived in houses next door to each other. We loved that they made their own rules when it came to marriage, all the while working together and winning tons of awards. We’re not sure we’ll ever get over that one.
