PETROL heads will rev their engines at Brean’s annual Rally Day at the end of January.
Hundreds are expected to power their way to the South West’s premier tarmac stage rally when it opens for the weekend on Saturday, January 25, at Brean Leisure Park.
The Brean Stages Rally 2014 is the championship qualifying round for both the Association of South Western Motor Clubs and the Cotswold Motor Sport Group Rally Championships.
Now in its 18th year, a total of 85 cars, from Ford Escorts and Corsas, to Subaru Imprezas and Mitsubishis, are expected to whip round 12 special stages over the two days, completing a total 52 stage miles.
Last year’s rally was won by husband-and-wife team Steve and Yvonne Furzeland.
Entry is £5 a head, with children under 12 admitted free with a fee-paying adult.
