AN INFAMOUS feline is the whiskered star of Burnham District Pantomime Society’s panto, Puss In Boots, later this month.
Derived from French fairy tale titled ‘The Master Cat’, or Le Chat Botté, the plotline follows a wily cat determined to win the affections of a princess for his low-born master.
As an indicator of the calibre of show audiences can expect from BDPS, young members of the performance group were awarded ‘Stars of the Future’ gongs following a successful run of last year’s show choice, Jack and the Beanstalk.
Puss In Boots runs from Friday to Sunday, January 24-26, then Tuesday to Saturday, January 28 to February 1.
Evening shows start at 7pm and there are some 3.30pm matinees.
Tickets cost £10 for adults, £8 for concessions, £6 for children, or £25 for a family ticket for two adults and two children. Visit www.princesstheatreandartscentre.co.uk
Family tickets are only available by calling 01278-784464 or by visiting the box office.
