IT'S fun and relaxing and a sport that anyone can play.
Indoor kurling is growing in popularity across the country and now you can have a go at The Princess Theatre in Burnham.
Suitable for all ages and abilities, the game can be played with a ramp for anyone that may find the game too strenuous or has limited mobility.
Kurling has been used as part of rehabilitation programmes in hospitals because the sport doesn't require any physical fitness to play, but exercises muscles you would not usually use.
With the help of Disability Sport England and local authorities, more people are taking up the sport as the benefits speak for themselves.
Organised by the Friends of the Princess, kurling takes place every Thursday between 12noon and 3pm. It costs £1.50 for the session and the café is open for drinks and snacks between ends.
Many of the Princess kurlers play bowls in the summer months and enjoy this indoor sport while the weather is colder. New members are welcome -just pop along.
