BURNHAM MP Tessa Munt visited the RSPCA rescue centre in Brent Knoll to drop off some blankets for the animals and to see the work the centre does.
It looks after and re-homes a large number of cats and dogs each year and is always looking for help in the form of volunteers, blankets for the kennels or donations to keep the service going.
Tessa said: “The centre performs an essential service on a very low budget and any help that can be given is always welcome.
“Sadly there are many abandoned or mistreated animals who have nowhere else to go and the RSPCA is literally a lifesaver.”
The next fundraiser is a Sunday Funday on September 22 from 11am to 4pm.
