JENNA Swan’s new dress might be made of rubbish but it certainly isn’t trash, as you can clearly see.
The creative Hugh Sexey Middle School student is pictured modelling the dashing dress she created from unwanted items such as old newspapers and plastic bags.
The school started an experimental short project called ‘Trashion’ in which students were tasked with attempting to make usable items out of waste.
They were required to think creatively about the materials they used, their characteristics and how to construct their garment.
At the end of the project the students planned to hold a fashion show to display their work and share their ideas.
