THE manager of Burnham’s iconic pavilion says part of a £100,000 revamp cannot begin until September.
Louise Parkin, who runs the pavilion on the town’s seafront, was granted permission to install a £60,000 high-tech folding roof and other improvements to the landmark building.
She said that the project could have been completed around Easter if Sedgemoor planners had granted permission earlier.
But since the pavilion will have to be temporarily closed for an estimated five days while the work is taking place, the project has been put on hold until September.
