A SPORTS centre in Highbridge has been forced to close due to a burst water main which has caused part of the roof to cave in.
King Alfred Sports Centre has been closed since last Tuesday and will now have to undergo a refurbishment to repair the water damage.
An assessment of the site is taking place and the centre will remain closed indefinitely.
Members can use other centres operated by management company 1610, including Chilton Trinity sports centre in Bridgwater.
On their website staff say they are working hard to resolve the situation and apologise for any inconvenience.
