SECRET World Wildlife Rescue in Highbridge has undertaken its biggest ever release of young swans.
Seventeen swans were sent back into the wild at an undisclosed location to ensure they are left undisturbed.
Communications officer Debbie O’Keefe said: “October was a very busy time for cygnets leaving home and they get forced into trying to find their way in the world but don’t really know where to start.
“It was time to release them and we let them go together so they might pair up.
“They just needed a lot of tender loving care.
“It’s certainly the biggest release we’ve ever done.”
