A GROUP of Burnham brownies will be seen clearly this winter thanks to a donation by Specsavers.
The optician in High Street has donated 30 high-vis vests to the Fourth Burnham-on-Sea (St Andrews) Brownies to make sure the girls are seen when out and about.
The donation was made to coincide with Road Safety Week, and Jane Mitchell, Brown Owl, said: “We’re very grateful to Specsavers for their kind donation.
We go out quite a lot as a group, so I’m sure we’ll make great use of the vests and they’ll help ensure the girls’ safety.”
Rama Venkat, store director at Specsavers, pictured with the Brownies, said: “Now that the clocks have gone back it gets dark very early, so we hope the vests will ensure that the girls are safe when they’re on trips.”
