BURNHAM and Highbridge residents can now take vehicle parts to recycling sites in the area for the first time.
Residents can have parts recycled at sites in Highbridge, Bridgwater, Taunton and Wellington.
The new chargeable service is expected to help car, motorcycle and mobile home enthusiasts who do their own repairs and improvements.
Costs for single components, such as an unrimmed car tyre, start at £3.50; many small parts cost £4.20 per item, with prices up to £103.80 to recycle an under-body structure.
The full list of vehicle parts taken and their costs can be found on the Somerset Waste Partnership website or in a leaflet from one of the ten recycling sites.
