RESIDENTS of Towans care home in Burnham were keen to prove that living there over the festive period is fun for all.
The home’s activities co-ordinator Jo Boobyer told the Weekly News: “At Christmas people may think a care home is a sad place to be but these pictures prove that living in a care home at the festive time of year is fun.
“We always have a jam-packed activities agenda every month of the year, but December is always extra special.”
The group has been to the Burnham Rotary Club’s Christmas dinner, raised £405 at a festive bazaar, been entertained by Dancefit dancers and held a New Year’s Eve bash.
Jo said: “Now the residents have had a good night’s sleep we will start the new year with a bang.
“Here’s to 2015 and lots more entertainment - just because someone is over 60 it doesn't mean they can't have fun.”
