MORE than a dozen teams took part in a fun Pancake Day race held in the centre of Burnham on Tuesday.
The teams, made up of local businesses and groups, competed in a series of heats in the High Street before a final showdown between those who clocked the fastest qualifying times.
The contest finished with Saxons Estate agents tossing it out with Larkins 99p store for the glittering engraved frying pan with Saxons emerging victorious.
Event organiser Beverley Milner Simmonds told the Weekly News: “It was great. The high street was packed and we’ve already had some really good feedback from businesses.
“To get so many people in to the centre on a Tuesday morning was fantastic.
“It’s definitely something we’ll look to do again next year with hopefully more businesses getting involved.”
