WELL-WISHERS and supporters were out in force to support the super-fit competitors taking part in the Burnham Super Spring Triathlon on Sunday, despite the chilly weather.
Crowds gathered to cheer on athletes of all ages as they took part in the challenging 250 metre swim, a 10km bike ride and a 2.5km run.
A raft of youngsters also took part, competing in a shorter course along the seafront and the beach.
Honours in the men’s race went to 16-year-old Travis Bramley from Plymouth, in 29.14.
Burnham local, Celia Miall took the top spot in the women’s race.
The event was organised by Burnham-On-Sea Swim and Sports Academy.
Organisers said it was a great success and thanked competitors and spectators for their support.
