BURNHAM-ON-SEA was brought to life on Sunday as 185 motorcyclists roared into the town as part of the region’s biggest charity motorcycle events.
The annual Coast to Coast Run, held by Westland’s vintage motorcycle club on Sunday 28 June, began in Lyme Regis and finished on Burnham seafront.
Riders were welcomed by town Mayor Michael Clarke and a crowd of spectators along The Esplanade, after passing through Wells, Cheddar, Wedmore and Mark with the help of 75 marshals.
This year’s event raised over £70,000 for Headway Somerset, a charity which helps residents to live individually after a brain injury.
Up until last year, the run took place in Weston-Super-Mare but switched to Burnham.
Westland vintage motorcycle club chairman Henry Pinney said: “I absolutely love coming to Burnham-on-Sea- it’s such a nice friendly place and the council always make us welcome.”
