A LOCAL runner is taking on a sporting challenge to raise money for Burnham-on-Sea charity, In Charley's Memory.
Simon Prior is fundraising and running from London to Brighton on May 28.
The task will see him cover a distance of 100 kilometres or 62 miles.
Simon said: "I am running London to Brighton in aid of In Charley's Memory.
"This challenge is 100 kilometres or 62miles and the aim is to complete it in under 13 hours.
"Training has not gone quite to plan so this is not going to be easy.
"It is very much a mental and physical task as you go way past what your body is actually capable of achieving.
"Please help this charity by donating Through Virgin Money Giving.
"You can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities.
"Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
"I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations."
