FIRE crews were called to rescue a horse that was stuck in a mud-filled ditch.
Around 6pm yesterday, the fire service was called to Withy Road in East Huntspill after reports the horse was stuck.
Crews got to work to release the horse using a head harness, strops, a telehandler and lighting.
The horse was safely rescued and is back in the hands of the farmer.
