AN OVERTURNED car is causing severe delays on the M5 Northbound.
Part of the motorway is currently blocked leading to traffic queuing between J22, Burnham-on-Sea and J21, A370 Weston-Super-Mare due to the crash between a car and a lorry.
Highways England are currently working to clear the scene, expected to be completed by 8.30am, with normal traffic conditions set to resume around 9.15am.
Firefighters from Burnham, Bridgwater and Taunton were called to the incident shortly after 6.30am this morning (Wednesday, December 7).
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Upon arrival crews confirmed one car on its roof on the hard shoulder with no persons trapped. The team worked to make the vehicles safe."
