AN elderly lady needed emergency medical treatment after collapsing in Burnham-on-Sea.
At around 12.30pm, a fire crew was returning to the station after dealing with a crash when they saw the elderly woman, who had collapsed on the pavement on Frank Foley Parkway.
Crews requested the attendance of an ambulance and gave first aid and oxygen therapy to the patient whilst awaiting their arrival.
The ambulance was on scene very quickly and they took over duty of care.
