DID you witness a fatal road traffic near Winscombe?
Police want to speak to anyone who saw a crash on Monday, June 5 on the A38 near Winscombe at 5.58pm.
The collision involved a silver Mitsubishi Outlander and a blue Vauxhall Mokka, and sadly two people died as a result of the crash.
A 50-year-old woman, a passenger in the Mokka, died in the collision, while the driver, a 54-year-old man, later died in hospital as a result of his injuries.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The driver of the silver Mitsubishi is in hospital in serious condition after suffering life-threatening injuries.
"If anyone has any information or saw either of these vehicles travelling along the A38 on Monday, June 5, please call 101 and ask to speak to the Collision Investigation Unit quoting the reference number 5217-7126242."
