FIREFIGHTERS were called to a property in Burnham-on-Sea after reports that an eight month old baby had been accidentally locked in a car.
The distressed owner of the vehicle called the fire service at 1.11pm today (June 22) to a property on Golf Links Mews in a bid to free the trapped infant.
One fire appliance from Burnham was mobilised to the incident.
On arrival crews quickly liaised with the owner of the vehicle to remove the baby who was not in any distress.
Crews broke in to the vehicle to allow entry for the baby to be removed.
The baby was freed from the vehicle unharmed.
