A HIGHBRIDGE pub is set to be revamped in a bid to welcome new customers.
Margaret Day and Desmond Griffiths, owners of the Globe Inn in Newtown Road, completed renovations to the venue’s skittle alley in 2015 and are now refurbishing the main bar.
The bar was last refurbished more than 20 years ago by previous landlords, Binny Hicks and David Hicks.
Some of the refurbishments include: the replacement of all the windows, an extension of the pub and a relocation of the bar and cellar access.
A spokesman for the pub said: “Des and Mags are extremely proud of what they have achieved so far and are looking forward to welcoming some new faces.”
The works will be completed by September.
