A COW was rescued by firefighters after it got stuck in a ditch in Lympsham.
Firefighters were called at 7.35pm yesterday (August 31) to Lympsham after reports that a Devon cow was stuck in a water filled ditch.
Specialist animal crews from Bridgwater and fire crews from Burnham-on-Sea attended the incident.
On arrival at the scene crews located the cow and with the help of a local farmer and using lines, crews were able to assist the cow unharmed from ditch.
