HIGHBRIDGE and Burnham-on-Sea Carnival had another successful year with thousands of spectators cheering as the streets were illuminated by colourful carnival carts.
Visitors from far and wide found a spot on Burnham's streets and marvelled at the colourful display as more than 80 carnival clubs put their best foot forward to rapturous applause.
Newcomers and carnival veterans were undeterred by the cold weather and wrapped up warm, braving the wet weather to watch the procession.
Highlights included Gemini CC's Journey to the End of the Earthcart, the Renegades CC's Maori warriors cart and the Toppers Ant Warriors cart.
But the biggest cheers of the night came for Burnham-on-Sea's Hillview Cc with their entry, Yee Ha!
