RAINY weather failed to dampen the spirits of Burnham-on-Sea residents as they set up their deckchairs and enjoyed a glass of bubbly at the annual picnic in the park.
More than 100 people packed into Manor Gardens in Burnham for the free picnic on Saturday (July 1), which was organised by the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts Development Society (CADS).
Visitors were kept entertained as the heavens opened by local bands including Little Secrets, Drop the Mic and Vero Neka and enjoyed burgers and crepes from food carts.
Children were kept entertained on the day at the Kidzone with a selection of toys and activities.
A spokesman for CADS said the event was a big success.
