FIREFIGHTERS from Burnham-on-Sea were called to a property in Axbridge following reports of gas leak from a cylinder.
A fire engine from Burnham and one from Cheddar were sent to the incident on St Mary Street in Axbridge at 7.58pm yesterday (August 16) after a report of CO2 leaking from a cylinder in a property.
When they arrived at the scene crews investigated using two sets of breathing apparatus and a gas monitor.
A hose reel was also laid out for safety.
Firefighters managed to stop the leak and remove a cylinder into the open air, making the property safe.
