PREPARATIONS for Burham-on-Sea’s sixth food festival are underway with more than 130 of Somerset’s finest food and drink producers scheduled to appear.

Now in its sixth year, the award-winning festival, Eat: Burnham-on-Sea, will see food and drink producers, live entertainment and cookery workshops fill town streets on October 27.

There will be live chef demonstrations, a cider festival, sushi-making workshops and The Hawksmoor Cookery School at the event which will run from 9am to 4pm.

Sushi-workshop leader Chrissie Godfrey from Delicious in Taunton, said: “You will be using nori sheets, cooked and prepared sushi rice, and a choice of vegetables. making your own maki roll with a soy and ginger dipping sauce - all lovely and sticky and fun.”
