A WOMAN has been taken to hospital and three people have been injured after a multi-vehicle crash on the M5 southbound.
The crash happened between J20(Clevedon) and J22 (Burnham-on-Sea) at 1.30pm today (October 5).
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service, said: We sent the following resources to the scene: an operations officer, two ambulances, two hazardous area response teams, and two other emergency responders.
"The police and fire service have also attended.
"A female patient has been transported by ambulance to Southmead Hospital for treatment.
"There are three other reported casualties.
"One patient has been treated at the scene by our crews and did not require hospital admission."
All lanes have been re-opened and the vehicles involved are on the hard-shoulder.
