TWO people have been arrested and released under investigation following a number of assaults on staff at a bar in Burnham-on-Sea.
Police were called to Vinnie's Bar on The Esplanade at about 1.40am on Saturday, November 24.
A man and woman were reported to have caused a large amount of disorder and violence
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The male suspect fled from the premises and was followed by officers who detained and arrested him shortly afterwards.
"It is believed the suspect may have been involved in an incident with several men in Abingdon Street, prior to his arrest.
"A woman was also arrested at the bar.
"A number of staff members had been assaulted.
"The man and woman arrested have been released under investigation.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the public house at the time of the incident who may be able to help our enquiries.
