MEMBERS of a golf club will have a new multi-million pound home from Monday.

They'll be moving into the new Brean Country Club development when it opens its doors to the public next week.

The new venue sees the creation of up to 15 jobs and an investment of £4 million into the family-owned business, which also includes the business operations of Brean Leisure Park and Holiday Resort Unit.

The facility offers spectacular panoramic views across the Mendip Hills, two function suites, the larger with a 140 seat capacity, and casual dining, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

The menu will offer traditional British classics with a fine dining twist, all cooked to order from ethically sourced local produce by chef Simon Hyde.

Mr Hyde has almost 30 years’ experience in the industry, working across the UK and the Channel Islands developing brands such as Mitchells and Butlers, and managing two-rosette restaurants.

It will also serve as a venue for weddings, with a civil ceremony licence, and private and corporate functions, school proms, family celebrations, team building days and a wide selection of business and community events.

The club is hosting a Wedding Open Evening on Wednesday, December 19, form 5pm to 8pm to show off its wedding suites - no need to book, just turn up for an informal look around and to chat to staff.

The club will welcome members of Brean Golf Club to their new home, which boasts state of the art changing and locker rooms and a stylish new pro shop.
