AN elderly woman has allegedly had her purse stolen from her during a trip to a cafe.
Avon and Somerset Police has released an image of a woman they wish to speak with in connection with the incident which took place on Friday, January 4.
The purse was taken after the woman in her 90s visited the Nutmeg House Restaurant in the town.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Can anyone identify this woman?
"We believe she can help us with an investigation into the theft of a purse belonging to a woman in her 90s at the Nutmeg café in Bridgwater on Friday (Jan 4).
"The incident happened at around 11.30am.
"The victim was talking to a woman and bought her a hot drink but when she left the victim noticed her purse had gone."
