MORE than 150 people packed into the Oaktree Arena for Secret World Wildlife Rescue's wildlife conference.

Delegates from across the country attended the conference which was organised by Dr Liz Mullineaux and hosted by Secret World.

The first day was focused on ‘Caring for Wildlife in the Wild’ with speakers highlighting the pressures being placed upon wildlife, information on introductions and challenges that some species now face.

On the second day speakers focused on ‘Caring for Wildlife in Rehabilitation’ and the work carried out responsibly to return sick animals to the wild.

Visitors were given veterinary advice as well as information about new methods of care and standards of facilities.

Pauline Kidner, founder of Secret World, said: "This has proved to be so successful that we hope it will now be an annual event.

" Secret World has always made sure that education through our work opens opportunities for both adults and children, and this just gives us another platform to pass knowledge on."
