MORE than 60 people packed into The King Alfred School, an Academy, and enjoyed a coffee morning to raise awareness of mental health.
The event, which was called Time To Talk, was a no-phone zone, and gave students a chance to talk with peers, teachers or representatives from In Charleys’ Memory and Somewhere House about mental health problems.
Izzy Simmons, 15, said: “It was a brilliant opportunity for young people to come together and a chance to open up to others about any possible ongoing problems students have.
“There was no phones so it was like a small community just like things used to be, face to face.
“We would like to make this event more regular.”
