THE Met Office has issued a weather warning for wind in the South West this weekend.

After a week full of rather blustery weather, there is more on the way, with a yellow weather warning in place in Somerset and much of the South West between 4am and 9pm on Saturday (March 16).

It is likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and large waves.

Delays on public tranport are likely, with longer journey times needed for rail and bus services.

Difficult driving conditions are possible, particularly for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.

As for today, the rain and drizzle will continue with a few heavier outbreaks at times.

It will stay overcast, with further strong winds and isolated gales, with a maximum temperature of 13 °C.

While Saturday will be wet and very windy, Sunday will be brighter but showers are likely and there is a possibility of hail.
