POLICE have released further CCTV images in a probe into purse and wallet thefts from hotels.

Last week, police issued a CCTV image of a man they wanted to speak to about a number of thefts from hotels in Basingstoke, Southampton and Whiteley.

Police now believe there was more than one person involved in the thefts and have today released a number of images of men they would like to speak to.

The incidents happened at the Apollo Hotel Popley on March 5, between 12.30pm and 1.15pm, the Holiday Inn Southampton on February 12, the Jury’s Inn Southampton, on February 13 and the Solent Hotel in Whiteley on December 14 and 17 last year.

In each case, hotel meetings rooms were entered and purses and wallets were taken from bags. The stolen bank cards were then used at ATMs and in stores to steal thousands of pounds.

Anyone who recognises any of these men is asked to call 101 quoting the reference 44190078277, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
