I MUST admit, the new floodlights in Taunton are growing on me.
I'm not a cricket person, so am not interested in going to watch, but when I first saw the lights I was horrified as they are so big.
They look like the invaders from War of the Worlds.

But seeing them as I walk to town most days, I am starting to like them.
I even find myself saying 'good morning' to them on occasion as I pass by the cricket club.
I still don't think they are very good looking, but I am finding they are becoming part of the furniture of the town.
There's no point in complaining about them now anyway, as they are what they are, so I am slowly but surely growing to like them.
Let's also hope they bring lots of people to the town.
