MEMBERS of Moose International in Burnham-on-Sea donated thousands of pounds to local charities at a special event.
At a Moose International meeting at Berrow Village Hall on March 28 the group handed cheques over to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Time for Youth, Cots for Tots Weston Hospice and Burnham Area Youth Centre.
Mike Lang from Burnham-on-Sea Moose International, said the event was a big success and the group was pleased to give funds to the groups.
He said: "Throughout the year, ladies and brothers of Moose hold events, and collection days to fundraise for our supported charities, and deserving local causes.
"Once a year collected money is handed over, at a special lodge meeting.
"The ethos of Moose international is based on family support, and we also enjoy the various social functions throughout the year."
