ONE person has been rushed to hospital by ambulance following a two car crash on M5.
Motorway drivers are facing long delays after a crash on M5 in Sedgemoor.
The road was blocked southbound due to a crash involving multiple vehicles.
The incident is between junction 22 (Burnham-on-Sea) and junction 23 (Bridgwater North).
Police, fire service and ambulances are on the scene. Fire crews worked to cut one person free from a car.
It is understood two cars and a lorry were involved.
Congestion is currently affected traffic back to Sedgemoor services, and there are also roadworks in the area.
The crash occured at around 1pm, with drivers held for more than an hour.

All lanes were reopened at 2.40pm, but with slow traffic in both directions.
Folowing the crash, a spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "This was a two car road traffic collision, and one patient has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital after being freed from a car."
