MORE than 100 people dressed to impress and packed into The Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare and enjoyed dancing the night away at In Charley’s Memory’s (ICM) annual charity ball.

Representatives from the Burnham-on-Sea based mental health charity made speeches about the charity’s work at the glamorous event and visitors were treated to a three course meal, a casino, live music from a DJ and a live performance from The Somerset Rock Choir.

Dawn Carey from In Charley’s Memory, said: “The ball the as always was a massive success - we had more than 120 people attend this year and a surprise performance from The Somerset Rock Choir.

“I was expecting 25 choir members but on the night over 50 members turned up, all giving their time for free.

“The ball is not only a great fundraiser but it’s a fantastic way to say thank you to those that have supported us.

“We have not counted all the money yet but it looks like we have raised over £2,000 so thank you to everyone who supported us.”
