VOLUNTEERS from St John’s Church hosted an Easter fair and raised hundreds of pounds for the church.

On Saturday (April 13) scores of visitors packed into St John’s Church Hall in Highbridge and enjoyed browsing around stalls, taking part in games and donating funds to the church.

There were a number of stalls at the event including a cake stall, a bric-a-brac stall, a card and crafts stall and there were also a variety of games for children and adults.

Mike Lang, a visitor who attended the event, said the event was a big success.

He said: “There were lots of good things available at the event including cakes, bottles, bric a brac and a raffle and volunteers worked hard

“It was great to see the community come out and show their support for the church.

“The bountiful raffle also attracted lots of customers.

“The church hall is well used and supported by members of the community which is ideal for events like this.

“The bric-a-brac stall was huge, with a large variety of goods on sale.

“It was a great event which was well worth attending.”
