WITH regard to the permanent relocation of a main post office in the centre of Taunton, might I propose the Library in Paul Street?
I realise that bureaucracy might well point out that the library is council owned, and a certain investment would be involved, but it would permanently ensure that both operations, being combined, would strengthen their joint future.
Furthermore, both would be on one level - important on pension day - and the collection of mail etc could be organised with the use of the rear entrance to the library.
Surely a better location than above a proposed motor museum or the investment, by the council, in a hotel on a site that has not proved attractive enough for the hotel industry to finance?
