A TOWN centre car park in Burnham-on-Sea will be closed for around a week as resurfacing work is carried out.
Sedgemoor District Council has confirmed plans to close the Pier Street West, short-stay car park, from Tuesday, May 7, to allow for the work.
The car park lies between the B&M store and the Esplanade.
"The work is scheduled to start on May and last for about a week, depending on the weather," said a council spokesperson.
"Pier Street West will be closed to vehicles for the duration of the work but the South and East car parks will remain open.
This work complements the new ticket machines and tariff boards recently installed at Pier Street car park, they added.
