TWO lucky ducks were rescued from distressed thanks to staff at a hairdressers in Taunton.

The pair were found outside the backdoor of Sarah Hodge, in Bridge Street, with no sign of their mother, in 1999.

The ducklings were immediately taken into the staff room and put in a cardboard box while staff hurried to get them some supplies.

The caring team members fed them milk and bread before contacting the RSPCA to tell them about their discovery.

The animal charity quickly sent an inspector to collect them.

Hairdressers Natasha Farley and Emma Tanton are pictured with the two orphaned ducklings.
